Privacy Policy - Chat Exporter for Discord

Everything happens in your browser. Your Discord session and your messages never leave this computer except to talk to Discord itself. No accounts, no analytics, no servers of ours.
What the extension accesses
- Your Discord session - the sign-in token that Discord's own web app uses. The extension picks it up from your open Discord tab, so it can ask Discord for the messages you want to export.
- Basic details of your Discord account - id, username, display name and avatar - to show who is signed in.
- The servers, channels, threads, direct messages and messages you can already see, and their images and files - only when you browse or export them.
- Your settings for the extension.

Removing the extension deletes everything it stored, except the files you downloaded.
What is sent where
Only to Discord:
- requests to
https://discord.com/apiwith your session - the same requests Discord's own app makes for you; - images and files from Discord's media servers (
cdn.discordapp.com,media.discordapp.net,*.discordapp.net), without your session: the avatars and server icons that the popup and the Exporter show, the avatars and images in the preview of a finished export, and - only when you turn on "Download images & files" - the images and files that go into your export.
Nothing is sent anywhere else. There are no analytics, ads, crash reports, tracking, accounts or servers of ours, and the extension loads no code from the internet.
Third parties
We do not sell, share or transfer any data. No third party receives any data from the extension. Discord receives the requests above as it does from your own browser; Discord's privacy policy applies to them.
Children
The extension is not directed to children. Discord itself requires its users to be at least 13 years old (older in some countries). The extension collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new date.
